Introducing... Fugitive Orchestra

Portsmouth-based singer-songwriter Fugitive Orchestra fuses Beatboxing, Live-Looping and Guitar, making music best described as Jazz-infused, Bluesy Hip-Pop; drawing inspiration from the likes of: LCD Soundsystem, Andrew Bird, Talking Heads, St. Vincent, Paul Simon, Kate Bush and the Blue Nile.

Having garnered support and airplay from BBC Introducing as well as being featured on Tom Robinson's 'Fresh Faves' for BBC 6-Music, the release of most recent single, Tomahawk Caress saw the addition of Politically-charged Alt-Funk to an already diverse palette of sounds, incorporating influences from classic funk to Vulfpeck and Childish Gambino. New single, The Price of Doubt, sees an exploration of 80s Guitar-driven Pop as well as universal themes of self-doubt and the importance of self belief amid a confusing world.

Fugitive Orchestra has supported the likes of Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer, The Petebox, Jerry Williams, The Showhawk Duo, Miles Hunt & Erica Nockalls (The Wonder Stuff), shared a stage with early-naughties heroes Wheatus at the Isle of Wight Festival, and continues to take his exciting live show to ever-growing audiences.

"The Price Of Doubt is a party banger that you can really learn a life lesson from. Personally I think these make the best type of party songs. Fugitive Orchestra provides us with a bass-led beauty of a track, I’ve found myself giving this one a couple of listens over and over and over.”

- Fresh on the Net

“I love that sound - it’s so different! Alternative, Jazz-infused, Bluesy Hip-Pop is how he describes it, but there’s aspects of funk in there too; it sounds amazing.”

- Steph Newenhouse, BBC Introducing Solent
